Ancient Guardian is a piece based on one of my 2D works.

"Potential energy like a boulder on a mountain peak; it may lay motionless for eons but until upon the slightest move, it springs to life unleashing it's terrible fury."

As the name would suggest the creature is an ancient robotic protector of a hidden temple. This was meant to work in the context of a fantasy styled RPG and have been influenced by the retro-sci-fi style I've enjoyed from the Final Fantasy series and Yoshitaka Amano's work.
