Necromancer

January 2007

This drawing depicts a necromancer who has summoned the spirit of a woman to fool attack our protagonist. The ghost woman is intended to look alluring and disarming, but she's got a knife in concealed in her right hand. The necromancer is supposed to be backed into the corner attempting to hide himself among the curtains and draperies of the background. I tried to provide clues that the necromancer is controlling the woman by giving them each a similar necklace, and by drawing lines of light from the necromancer's fingers to the woman's hair. I tried to show that the woman was a ghost be making her somewhat transparent, and by making her somewhat self-illuminated.

I did this drawing in order to practice cloth and fabric, and also because I really wanted to draw a lich type monster. It took me around 15 hours in Photoshop. 60 drawings in 90 days #12.

Time Lapse Videos to follow.
